There appears to be public disturbance at the Mile 12 area, Ketu, Lagos state, as residents cry out for help following unexpected attacks by a rampaging horde on Thursday morning.

Vandals are said to have besieged the area, wreaking havoc on passersby.

Panicked residents of the area have taken their pleas for help to Twitter, calling on security personnel to come to their rescue.

Although the details available are sketchy, sources claim that the mayhem is being unleashed by aggrieved Hausa/Fulani youths, in supposed retaliation for previous attacks on members of their community.

The attackers are said to have advanced from Mile 12 to Bamgboye Street, still with no security personnel in sight as violence escalates.
